What's New

AWS Marketplace has launched AI-assisted product listing within the Partner Assistant chat, enabling ISVs and Consulting Partners to automatically generate, validate, and optimize product listings from their existing digital assets such as website URLs, PDFs, case studies, and product documentation. The capability populates all required listing fields, validates content against AWS Marketplace format and size requirements, and provides a quality score with field-level recommendations aligned to best practices that drive buyer engagement. It is accessible via AWS Partner Central, the AWS Marketplace Management Portal (AMMP), and programmatically through the Partner Agent MCP server.

How It Works

  • Content ingestion: Partner Assistant accepts website URLs and uploaded documents (PDFs, case studies, product documentation) as source material, extracting relevant product information automatically.
  • Field generation: The AI generates content across all required AWS Marketplace product information fields, covering product descriptions, highlights, categories, and other metadata needed for a complete listing.
  • Validation: Generated content is automatically validated against AWS Marketplace size and format requirements, flagging any fields that do not meet submission standards before the seller publishes.
  • Search optimization: The assistant optimizes listing content for discoverability within AWS Marketplace search, applying best practices around keyword usage and field completeness.
  • Quality scoring: A quality score is returned at the field level, indicating how each section of the listing compares to the standards correlated with buyer engagement and conversion.
  • Brand voice customization: Sellers can upload a style guide as a guardrail, instructing the assistant to generate or rewrite content in alignment with their brand voice and listing standards.
  • Access methods: The feature is available conversationally via the Amazon Q chat button in AWS Partner Central, via the AI sparkle icon in AMMP on any product creation or update page, and programmatically via the Partner Central agents MCP server using JSON-RPC 2.0 over HTTPS with SigV4 authentication and SSE for streaming responses.
  • Supported product types: Coverage spans SaaS, Server (AMI and container), Data products on AWS Data Exchange, Machine Learning products, and AI agents and tools (SaaS API-based and container-based).
